Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF45 $45 –

Estee Lauder is not a cruelty-free brand because they sell in mainland China where after-market animal testing is required by law. Note, however, that Estee Lauder ended animal testing stateside over 30 years ago and is a brand that has been working to impact legislation and global adoption of cruelty-free alternatives, so I give them props for that. I hope they make some global headway sooner rather than later. Check out Phyrra.net for the most up-to-date CF info out there:

So for your honest opinion I have super dry skin a little bit of facial hair that I do try to remove that have to cover up I had gotten the Mac pro long wire nursing waterproof foundation because I was asking in the store what could be best because my skin is so dry and my favorite was always colourpop pretty fresh and it was just peeling off looking horrible I’m not a big fan of the Mack and this Estée Lauder Was the second choice and unfortunately I went with the cheaper so what is your opinion should I spend the extra and go try it

  2. pinkTonya24

Hi Shelly! I found this foundation in this same exact shade at Marshall's today for $18!! I snatched it up SO quick because I remembered you saying how much you like it!

    Shelly,Shelly,sweet Shelly ! Hi Again
❤elanie here,…so as I always do b4 I buy a new product I check in with my three favorite YouTube makeup reviewers, seems all three of you share the same positive outlook on this one ,so I ordered it 😀, cant wait to see how it works for me..
Oh I know u did this in 2020 and I'm a bit late but that's OK I'm finally on board now. I have a couple of decades on you with extremely dry skin, I mean like Marilyn Monroe I too can actually use Vaseline and have my skin drink it up..
No, u can't tell that by looking at me as I am so on my game regarding my skincare and know how to make my skin happy. Any Hu
I adore ur sweet self, I find you so refreshing and relatable, I love your confidence and I see you as a perfect example to all women that knowledge is power, personality is prime, and that when inner and outer beauty combine the outcome is nothing short of magical..
Like you, stay safe and see ya soon, love at u Shelly

Hi Shelly. Happy New Year from Canada! Just wondering how the colour match is between ABH 140n and Futurist hydra rescue Ecru. Thanks so much 💕

  5. Aleshia Bowman

THANK GOD. I didn't purchase. You look very pretty but I'm really disappointed with how it caked up & seemed to be full coverage. I was hoping it was more of a CC tinted moisturizer finish. Thank you for review.

  6. Sandra lynn 60 plus beauty

Just wondering could the patchy ness be from the primer you put on? I just bought this just the other day. Haven’t bought a primer yet.

  7. GS Salazar

    You’re 45? You look younger than me and I’m 39 😁
I want this foundation, I’m taking my butt to Ulta next week to get it, thank you for this review!!

  8. MJ Oliver

running through this video again because EL now released new shades on this one and it includes 1C1 Cool bone, but I only see them in Sephora. And considering getting it.

  9. Ann R

I have the same problem between the eyebrows it’s horrible I use brush, sponge fingers and it’s a headache also my cheeks get that way. Recommendations would be amazing

  10. No Sleep

I already watched this, but came back to check out the shade thing again.. Since I was here, last, I searched for other reviews of this, to see what shade other ppl with my complexion picked out.
In my YT travels, I came across Abby Bliss White, a 50 something y/o YTuber who reviewed this lthen at the end of her review, she really got distressed bc she said it highlighted and accentuated her pores– those on cheeks on the side of her nose, which never showed before like that. . I think she noticed it first in the REARVIEW CAR MIRROR, which is an awfully cruel mirror in which to check yourself out.😵

So then in the comments under her review, dozens of women said they had the same problem with this foundation, or else thanked her, & said they would not buy it!! There is a well known YTuber in her 50s who also reviewed this so I went over there to see what she had to say and she loved this foundation.
However I noticed that her pores were evident, and she loads her skin up with thick mineral sunscreen, the tinted kind that looks like foundation, and wears it as soon as she gets out of bed like a second skin under makeup, or anything she puts on her face. I don't see how pores can show through all those thick layers, but they do.

Then there are the ppl who say we are SUPPOSED TO HAVE PORES, and that it is not a defect, and I think I agree with that. However really large pores sometimes are a result of sun damage, a lot of it, bc the UVA rays penetrate deep into our skin destroying collagen and the supporting structures of underlying skin causing pores to sag open.

I live so far south that you can't walk from house to car without getting sun, but as far north as New England, ppl must have been biweekly Tanning Parlor users, to get that much sun damage. Those places should be shut down!

OMG, that swatch looks liked it oxidized like crazy. I Just ordered the 2N1, now I'm scared it's going to be way too dark. Why didn't I come here to check first? Oyyy!!
    Looks wonderful on you though👍🌝

  12. Traci Setter

You always seem to have the best shade swatches for me to compare to other foundations I already have! I think between you and TaylorWynn you guys are going to make me buy this…as if I need another foundation🤣 I just picked up Mac Studio Sculpt last week for the first time in probably 10years and fell in love with it again, but I admittedly have a foundation obsession problem and LOVE trying all the new things🙈 Great review as always👏👏👏

  13. Lauren Bower

Hey Shelly, love your channel! If you had to choose between this (Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue) and the Lancome Skin Feels Good, which would you go for? (Or are they too different to compare?) Thanks, Lah x

  14. M

The reason you got the the little canines and not completely blending out is because you used primer. This makeup works much better without primer. Try it and you’ll see what I mean.

  15. Makeup Time With Kelly

I can't stop binge watching your channel since I discovered it the other day! I might have to try out this foundation based on your review.

  16. Mz Clementine

I finally had to break down and find a new foundation. They discontinued the Lancôme Renergie… so sad. It was a favorite… I hope this takes its place… fingers crossed.

  17. Paladar Mundano Blog

Great review, I have extremely dry akin and I my skin doesn't like liquid foundation because it always very caky. I guess I have to continue searching for a powder foundation. Any suggestion? Thanks

  18. MJ Oliver

I always watch you because the foundation you use as a shade finder is my perfect shade. Esteè Lauder DW 1C1. So by watching you I know which shade to go for when looking for a foundation.

  19. B Claire

I’ve already purchased and love this foundation, but watched this entire review anyway. I love your approach. You’re so real and personable; it feels like you’re just chatting with me. Great video and I’m definitely subscribing! ❣️

  20. Melissa Hodgeman

I'm so glad you reviewed this foundation. I just bought it and I was so worried it might make me look too dewy or emphasize pores. Nope, it ROCKS! It is just healthy, plumping, and slightly radiant looking. (I set it with a tiny bit of It cosmetics bye bye pores powder) It also helps that I found a great shade match too.

  21. ANB

    Hi Shelly,
Sooo my one and only foundation is the double wear (3C1 Dusk) is my exact match. But after seeing your review of this new one, I had to give it a try. Sadly, they didn’t have my exact color, so I had to go with 3C2 Pebble. I ordered online and the consultant recommended this. It’s actually a pretty good match. I used it today, and I got some nice compliments on it. I think this is definitely worth it. My face didn’t feel dry. As I look oily during the day, after running around at work for 12.5hrs (I’m a nurse) but my skin can also go dry in spots. So even with double wear I have to use the Estée Lauder pressed powder a couple times through my shift and that does the trick. But anyway, this new one was so nice, felt great, radiant but not greasy. Thank for the recommendation!

  22. suezy1969

I bought the white and dark foundation tint from Elf and they work great when you cant find your shade and don’t want to buy 2 bottles of foundation to get your correct shade. 🙂

  23. Sharn FoFarren

Shelley…you are cracking me up in this one!😊👍I love your reviews…your so down to earth and I know your honest about your reviews..thank you..your honesty is appreciated
